I went to the weightroom today. I'm down from 154 pounds to 140 pounds, and the loss is mostly muscle. When I went to the chest press to move my usual 35 kilos, I couldn't even budge it. I had to drop it to 32.5, and even then, I was working so hard I felt dizzy and was getting creepy fluttering sensations in my chest. So I stopped. I was fine with the rest of my weights, though. Ah well. I don't need giant pecs, anyway!

So I did a whole bunch of crunches, instead.

I wonder how long it will take me to put all that weight back where it belongs....

Not very long. You did that machine second-last, after pushing yourself too hard on the others. I had to drop weights, too, and didn't even manage my usual 15 reps on some of them. Hell, on one I pussied out at 8....

We'll be good in a few weeks.

I hope I don't gain ten pounds in a few weeks! That's scary.

Did I say that? No. I said we'd be "good".

Silly ShanMonster. You're a ScroffyBrain, aren't you? :-)

Probably not as long as you think. It takes your body less time to reclaim muscle and strength it once had than to build muscle and strength you never had
