shanmonster: (Dance Monkey Dance!)
Today's dance clip features Unmata doing a group improvisation at the Blood Moon Regale 2006 Gotham Lockdown Afterparty on October 28 in Sacramento, CA. That's right, this is not choreographed.

Incredible.

Although not choreographed Unmamta do work with larger combos that allow them the flexibility to have the super crazy fast sections that flow together really well. I highly reccomned taking any workshops by Amy or Luna, they're super fun, down to earth and very talented. They'll be teaching again at Northern Migration in Buffalo :)

That's phenomenal. :) I can see that it's unchoreographed, but only because I know who I'm watching for cues. :)

Impressive and good, yes, but not unheard of. ATS group Tribe Taksim has a "library" of stock moves, cues, and combos that they use. They make them work very well together, even when there is no "leader." Very rarely do they do choreographed material. I've yet to see a performance by them where things seemed awry or disorganized.

Damn, I'd like Shades to be that tight someday. Love their combos...need to deconstruct them sometime.
