In my quest for new dance clips to share, I watched a lot of dance yesterday. I was getting to the point where I could no longer distinguish between good and bad dancing. But when I finally saw a clip in which a Korean man breakdanced to Pachelbel's music as done by traditional Korean instruments and human beatboxing, I broke. I fled my room gibbering.

The clip is here, if you wish to share my pain.

No matter. Time to go out for pho.

Why you say?

Actually, I rather enjoyed that clip. But then, I'm into the bizarre.

I don't think he's a bad dancer, per se. It's just that the whole package together was too much for me to handle.

I dunno, I kinda liked the breakdancing with the traditional music in the background. I could've done without the beatboxing, but that's just cuz I don't like beatboxing.

It was just a whole wack of too much! It reminds me of a video clip I saw a while back of a belly dancer wearing a cowgirl outfit dancing to an Irish jig. It broke my brains because it was a soupy mess.

A lot of talent, but an awful program. It was like one minute he's doing some insane swivels, and the next he's just shuffling in time (almost) to the beat.

I was honestly distracted from his dancing by the music. It hurt my brain too much. I could no longer cope.

I think I'm over the sick and able to deal now. I suppose I'll have to give it a second go (although I may end up muting the terrible music. I don't like Pachelbel on the best of days. Having it transmuted like this doesn't endear it to me any more.)

I understand what you're saying about the somewhat bizarre fusion. I didn't mind it too much. It wasn't the best breakdancing I've seen but interesting nonetheless.

Regarding beatboxing, here's a great clip from the infamous Beardyman, probably one of the best beatboxers ever. In this, he plays a Julia Childs of sorts and cooks up a beat. I'm not terribly fond of beatboxing, but this guy's really fun to watch.
