Today's clip features four tango dancers. I don't know who they are, or what movie this is from. My favourite part is when all four dance together toward the end, and the quick and intricate braiding of legs they do.

The movie is "The Tango Lesson" by Sally Potter. Pretty good, if you don't mind foreign films.

TAgryn's comment makes me laugh because I hadn't even SEEN the link and I thought "I bet it's that HAWT scene in The Tango Lesson where Sally Potter dances with the three guys". It's a cool movie, though not to everyone's taste due to being somewhat art-wank. Nice dancing and lovely music though.

...I also love the little improv he does at the airport with the walkway. Everytime I go through an airport I have the urge to emulate it.

Carlos Saura's "Tango" remains my favorite, though, since it has about every permutation of dance that there is. Also, the rehearsal video for the Moulin Rouge tango that's on the "additional features" dvd is actually better, I think, than the one in the film. Plus, you can actually edit your own version...

I probably need to watch "Tango" again, but I remember not liking it much for some reason. I got totally hooked on social Argentinian tango (and would still like to get back into it at some point) and tend to be a bit snooty about ultra-theatrical tango like in Moulin Rouge, though that was a cool piece nonetheless. What I love about the tangoing in "The Tango Lesson" is that even though it's show tango, it's still all about the connection and intimacy, and has all that deliciousness. There's never a sense where any of the dancers are going "and now we are acting out being all hot and passionate and Latin", they're just dancing and communicating. *goes all dribbly about tango*

Oh, and the other thing I like is that he's clearly under 30 and she's clearly a hell of a lot older than him, but they have an affair and it's not even *mentioned*.
