I fucked up royally.
Margd has had an on and off relationship with the Setite Sarrasine for the past 800 years, losing track of him for about 600 years before recently picking up where they left off. When she first became involved with him, she did not know she had multiple personalities. And since meeting up with him again, she thought she had the personality switches well under control, since Elisabet hadn't reared her ugly head in about 200 years.
If, for some unforseen reason, Elisabet were to manifest, Margd's coterie (Malicus the antitribu Tzimisce and Koal the Gangrel prince) had made a pact with her: they promised they would stake her and fill her with vitae in order to get Margd back. And if this proved impossible, they pledged to kill her.
Well, while Sarrasine was away, Elisabet came back--for about two months--and Malicus and Koal didn't fulfill their end of the bargain.
When Sarrasine came back, Elisabet waltzed on in in the guise of Margd. The next night, she became embroiled in a battle with Sabbat, and in escaping from them, switched back to a very confused Margd. As far as Margd's concerned, within the past week, her dear old Nosferatu friend Zelios was slain by werewolves while under her protection, Sarrasine left for parts unknown, she was tortured by psychotic ancient Malkavian (Malkcontent), attacked by a Sabbat war party, and she found her ward and her favourite childe staked in a spare room. Her week has held more action than the past century. So she is in a state of high stress and trauma. To top things off, due to a botched dementation attempt on Elisabet's part, she is plagued with feelings of paranoia for the next three months.
With this in mind, Margd makes her way back to Sarrasine's where she explains that was not her he had spoken with the night before, but Elisabet.
To say he's unimpressed would be an understatement. He did not know she had multiple personalities. This is some pretty significant information she withheld from him. Who's to say Elisabet hadn't been mucking around in his business affairs? Even worse, Margd had shared blood with Sarrasine, making him partially blood bound to her. Or was he partially blood bound to Elisabet?
Desperate to retain his friendship and trust, Margd offers to blood bind herself to him. This is not sufficient to cool his anger. Neither is her offer to leave his life and never see him again.
The night does not end well. Sarrasine frenzies and attacks Margd, sending her into torpor. He wraps her in a rug, weights it with cinder blocks, and has her thrown off a dock. So maybe he liked the second offer, after all.
But it gets even worse. While in torpor, Margd is aware of Elisabet. Their thoughts are experienced by one another. How this will effect game play I've yet to determine. Honestly, it confuses the fuck out of me!
And it still gets worse.
Through excellent use of auspex, Margd's friend Malicus, the one who'd betrayed her trust by allowing Elisabet to run amok, was able to find her and pull her out of the lake. The first thing he did to her torpored self was blood bind her to him.
So now she's bloodbound to someone she no longer loves or trusts, the one she does love left her for dead, and, completely unknown to her, she's picked up a major enemy (Ambrogino Giovanni) thanks to the machinations of Elisabet. On top of all that, Gehenna is fast approaching, and she feels compelled to save the world.
I believe this leaves Margd without any allies, and a host of extremely powerful enemies (including Dracula, of course).
This is by far the most difficult, most conflicted character I've ever played. Help!
