Last night, I invented the beertini, and [livejournal.com profile] f00dave created it for me. A beertini is easy. Pour beer into a martini glass, and toss in an olive.

And speaking of revisionist martinis, I'm having a birthday party on Saturday. [livejournal.com profile] snowy_kathryn is putting it together, so message her for more details....

I think I'll spend today crawling around on the floor cutting fabric. A new skirt is in my future. Maybe even a new top and belt. But the skirt is first. I found some spectacular vintage polyester with an eye-popping print, and I'm determined to make a giant skirt out of it. It's been a few years since I've tackled one of these monstrosities.

Link time.

I agree!! That's a terrible thing to do to a perfectly good olive!

I have Peter Menzel's book, "Material World." He does something similiar - photographing a family with all their posessions. It's a great book, and now I'll have to get the food one. :)
