Because I mentioned some cultural reference or another last night, a relative stranger asked me what year I was born. When I asked him to guess, he paused, looked at me carefully, then said, "1985?"
I can't believe I still pass for my early twenties. This has got to be exploitable, somehow....
The in-laws are in town, specifically, my mother- and sister-in-law. My clean eating plan has been defenestrated for the duration of their visit, I fear, as the house is filled with pop, cookies, crisps, pizza, and I've been taken to delis specializing in rich German pastries. I am being thwarted!

The Grand National, the holy grail of amazing boots, has been discontinued (as I've been informed by my companion in bootlust, sarcasm_hime). I could never afford them, but the Fluevog store has a moat filled with my drool around these boots--especially around the red fuzzy devil ones with the split hoof heels. I want these boots so bad that my knees vibrate and my loins thrum. So bad that I've got the shivers. Too bad they are no more. My world is filled with sad.

Man admits urinating on ill woman: A woman lies dying in the street, and one man's response was to shout "this is YouTube material" as he degraded her. No word yet on whether or not the despicable video made its way to YouTube (thanks,zombienought). Huzzah.
Nebraska state senator sues God: "The defendant in a state senator's lawsuit is accused of causing untold death and horror and threatening to cause more still. He can be sued in Douglas County, the legislator claims, because He's everywhere. State Sen. Ernie Chambers sued God last week. Angered by another lawsuit he considers frivolous, Chambers says he's trying to make the point that anybody can file a lawsuit against anybody" (thanks,raine_storm).
