My descent into dorkiness is accelerating. I am now the proud owner of spirit gum and elf ears. I continue boiling leather for my armour, and I made a foam boffer staff on the weekend.
It looks like the Underworld event will be taking place much further away than originally planned, which likely means I'll be riding the Greyhound bus and a subway while wearing armour and lugging around a whole wack of foam weapons. Does it get any geekier?
Yes, yes it does. I haven't turned into that guy in the box from Trekkers.

In other news, I'm going to the Renn tonight all dressed up in Steampunky goodness. Won't you come, too? There's going to be a fashion show. I'm not in it, but I'll be wearing a wonderful outfit from Queen of Heart Costumes. Pictures are forthcoming, I dearly hope.
Who needs fandom when you can dress up for the sake of dressing up?
