Ok, so this is very strange. There you are, on the other side of the country, posting this poem (Veterans day?). Meanwhile, over here on the east coast i happened to be way out of my usual path, over on 52nd st and west-side highway (NYC). As I walked along it for the first time, i saw i park (De Witt Clinton Park) i didn't know about. And there, at the entrance, was a big old statue with that very poem printed on it. weird coincidence.
