shanmonster: (Tiger claw)
My iMac (old model, the one that looks like a flower) suddenly freaked out today, and now everything is tinted a horrific washed-lime green.

I've tried rebooting, and it doesn't work. I've shut it off for a couple of hours, and it still starts up with this vulgar colour. It doesn't feel hot, so overheating isn't the issue.

What the holy hell?

My first thought! The computer has joined Team Green.

Monitor fuck up instead of computer?

It's one of these:

It sounds like something's blown in the monitor itself, instead of it being a computer issue. The only way to know is to try another monitor.

I realize, with Macs, that that's a bit difficult, but it's a surefire test of where the problem lies.

There is no monitor cable. At least, no external one.
