It seems like I did nothing but draw, yesterday. From 9:00-4:00, I did little else. And then, when I got home, I drew until about 10:30. The results paid off, because my instructor told me my jewellery renderings were some of the best in the class. Hooray for not sucking!

Today was productive--so productive, I almost believe I'll be able to get all my assignments done without extreme difficulty. Almost.

For next week, I must complete one bracelet, one cuff, and five pairs of earrings. On top of that are the usual drawings/renderings.

I wanted to make my cuff from Nugold, but there wasn't any in the appropriate gauge. So I sucked it up and bought the silver. For just one cuff, I spent almost forty dollars on silver. I have a lot more pieces to make, but fortunately, I can use my Nugold. I have the correct gauge for the other stuff. Good thing, too, because my student loan hasn't come in, and I have about thirty dollars to my name. Eeeee....

I am going to kung fu tonight. Kick ass! And tomorrow, before class, I'm going to the gym. Of course, the temperature may make me change my mind. It's supposed to be -42 Centigrade with the wind chill factor. Even though I rarely get cold, forty below certainly makes me tight-skinned and blue. I sure hope I don't get frostbite on the way to or from school, or on the way to or from dance class that evening. Again, eeeee.....

While walking to school this morning, my asthma suddenly kicked in. I couldn't figure out why. Although it was quite cold out, it wasn't at the critical temperature where my lungs normally go into hibernation. Then I smelled smoke, and figured it must be someone's wood fire setting me off. That's when I saw a fire fighter running along a street dragging a bright yellow hose. He hooked it up to a hydrant, then raced away. A few doors down, a house was burning like mad. I paused for a moment, hoping no one was trapped inside. I didn't see any ambulances, but the fire trucks and police cars were converging on the doomed home.

When I returned from school tonight, I walked by the house. The fire trucks were still there, but the top of the house was not. The roof is completely gone, and bulldozers were pulling up. How depressing.

And now, here's a site for sore eyes. Don't go there. I'm warning you. It might be your dear granny, and then you'd be forever traumatized.

That's the second disturbing old lady I've clicked on in your journal. I hope you don't go looking for this stuff intentionally

I think that house must have been the apartment of one of the technicians at work. There is a collection (clothes, household items, etc...)being taken up at Pitchman's for him and his girlfriend. I'm trying to think of useful things that I can part with.

Any idea what size the girlfriend wears? I have some clothes to get rid of.
