Every time I watch this I start to tear up. People who talk shit about Mr. Rogers around me are asking for it. The man was a good man. And that's all I have to say.

I know people who went to his church (the one he attended that is) in Pittsburgh. He was apparently exactly the same in real life.

It's funny you say that, because I had the same reaction. You can tell he means what he says and feels it in every fiber of his being. Honestly I could feel the emotion building throughout the clip and when he read that song, it took everything I had (I'm at work, you see) to hold my composure. That man changed the world. If we only had more like him, I think the world would be a much better place for everyone.

It makes me feel good to know that so many people feel this way about him. I'm at work, too, and just thinking about him makes my throat all tight.
