I'm off to the gym in a bit to have a consultation with a trainer. I'm going to ask him to review my current workout plan, and see what recommendations he might have to offer. My bad foot, however, is trying to thwart me. It's been sore for the past two weeks ever since I wore heavy shoes walking all over Toronto a few weekends back. Damnit. And I was doing so well.

I hope my foot doesn't blow up on me while I'm larping this weekend. I'm bringing boots and wool socks to wear in the evenings, so they won't get too cold and seize up.

Yikes. I'll hold out hope for your foot as well. Do you know what's wrong with it? I remember you've mentioned it before, but don't remember if you had a diagnosis or anything.

There has never been consensus on what is wrong with my foot. The last time I went through physiotherapy, I was told I had a little bone that kept drifting out of alignment. But even when the bone appears to be in the right place, I have pain flare-ups. And the pain is rarely consistent. It is non-specific and moves around the outside edge of my foot and ankle. My personal belief is that it is residual fuck-uppery (that's my technical term) from a bad sprain I had a few years ago, complicated by overuse from almost a year of working on a concrete floor. Tack on the arthritis that I've had since my teens, and there you go.

Boo, hiss. I was thinking maybe it could be a neuroma, but not around the foot and ankle. =(
