Yeehaw! I'm going to be finished my homework with time to spare. Today, I finished one brooch and my necklace. All I have to do now is finish the second brooch and redo the clasp on my bracelet. This shouldn't take more than a day, at the most. This means I'll have time to work on my own stuff. I detect a bunch of cuttle casting in the near future. I'd like to make a series of earrings, pendants, and rings with cuttle casting. Maybe even a cuff or bracelet, if I'm doing well.

I do have to think of a ring for after March break. A competition is coming up. Maybe I'll do something with the abalone shell. I'm thinking of another spinning ring. Then again, I'm also thinking of making a dinner ring with dangling stones set in chimney bezels.

Right now, I'm waiting for my brooch to finish up in the pickle. It's covered with all sorts of nasty filth from soldering. Nu-Gold gets about as dirty as copper when it's been red-hot.

Well, I guess it's time to get back there. I have one more thing to solder, and then it's polishing time....

The language of your everyday is really quite wonderful. Jewelry-making, dancing, teaching, loving, fighting, creating - all these passions paint a vivid portrait of a life being very throughly enjoyed.

*grins*

In other words: me likey your wordies.

Do you have pics of your jewelry anywhere on your site? I took a quick peek earlier but didn't find anything. Please direct a lost critter!

Thanks! Life is great! What can I say? I keep myself as busy as I can doing things I love.

I still don't have photos of my jewellery online. I hope to, shortly. I'm supposed to be taking a section on jewellery photography, so I expect to have pictures of all my stuff within the next month.

I'm curious.
How much are you being billed for the casting course? It's over $300 where I live, which seems insanely expensive.

I'm not taking a casting course, per se. It's part of two of my classes: media exploration and my main metal studio class. I'm not sure how I'd break them down, pricewise. I learned centrifugal casting in my main studio, and sand casting, cuttle casting, water casting, and vacuum casting in my explorations class.
