shanmonster: (Zombie ShanMonster)
I'm working on my first painting/drawing/thing in years. I started the work in earnest today. Here's the progression, so far:

I think I might make a floral border. Maybe trilliums, since it's the provincial flower here and all.

I'm rusty as hell, but I don't think it's horrible, so far. Maybe someone will even bid on it at the auction, and I'll have contributed to the pathways fund in Kitchener. Here's hoping!

So far today, I've made a couple of dance tutorial videos, proofread a murder mystery, and made this bit of art. Up next is a dance class, and then I just might end up watching a dreadful movie. I'm pretty tired.

How was your day?

Still loving your hair. Love. It. When did you color it? Has it been like this for a long time and I just haven't noticed?

How was your day?

My day has been crazy busy, I have DOMS all down my entire back like whoa, and I'm (selfishly) hoping [livejournal.com profile] miischelle is able to cancel our dance class tonight because I could really stand an evening at home with a glass of wine. Adding a dreadful movie to that would make it even better. Thanks for the idea.

I had the red put back in about a month ago. I had missed it, so it was time to return to my signature colouring. :)

Poor back! Hot bath with epsom salts sounds like a nice accompaniment to that wine.

Oooo.

Hot bath...dreadful movie...hot bath...dreadful movie...Tough decision! I might have to go with the movie, though, since my guy can join me for the movie. We can't both fit in the tub.

The way I figure, everything is faster than working with metal. Goldsmithing taught me patience. And this is the simplest pointillism piece I've ever made. It took only about an hour, because it's not very detailed.
