I woke up to the news about the big earthquake and tsunami hitting Japan. It all feels very surreal to me, especially upon seeing images of a flaming tsunami sweeping across a city:

Daniel, his boyfriend Masa and our friend Yuichi and his family are all present and accounted for. Though for a while we weren't sure where Yuichi's Dad was (they live in Tokyo), but he's home now.

Masa was suck in traffic going on 3 hours 8 minutes from his house at noon my time.
