Really, though. I can sympathise with their situation. As a JW kid, I met with all sorts of opposition at the door, although it was never of the firepower variety. My Dad had attack dogs set on him while he was walking down a road, though. He dispatched them immediately (anti-dog was one of his military specializations, along with anti-tank. Tanks are harder to remove with hand-to-hand combat techniques, though).

It's the New Walking: Scooters evolve from medical need to lifestyle choice: These things perturb me. How can someone fool themselves into thinking that riding one of these around constitutes exercise? I do appreciate the use of them by people who have health reasons for doing so, but I fear they're creating a nation of Jabba the Hutts.

Of course, I have a low opinion of people who drive their cars short distances, too. At least scooters use less gas.

"Hutt Nation" is already here: the scooter manufacturers are just selling to it, they did not necessarily create it. This is one spectacle I am not looking forward to in the years to come.

And it was only a few years ago that "George Costanza" could wring a whole episode of Seinfeld out of using a scooter to which he as not entitled.
